Murat Gönenç

He was born in Kocaeli in December 1975. He completed his primary education at 50. Yıl Cumhuriyet Primary School, and his secondary and high school education at Kocaeli Anatolian High School. He studied medicine at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and earned his medical doctorate in 2000. He completed his general surgery specialization training at the Department of General Surgery within Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and became a General Surgery Specialist in 2006 with his thesis titled “Effects of ursodeoxycholic acid and piperacillin-tazobactam in preventing renal damage associated with mechanical icterus in rats with a mechanical icterus model.” Subsequently, he earned the titles of “Associate Professor” in 2014 and “Professor” in 2020. He has 32 scientific studies published in international journals and 18 scientific studies published in national journals . His work has received a total of 1139 citations to date and has an h- index of 16 .
