Bilgi Baca who graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1996, completed his Specialization Training in Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery in 2003 with his thesis titled ‘Can mechanical bowel cleaning before infrarenal aortic surgery reduce colonic ischemia / reperfusion damage?’ Bilgi Baca received his Associate Professorship in 2009 from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery.
In 2009 and 2010, he increased his experience by working in the Department of Colorectal Surgery (Colon and Rectal Surgery) at the Keck School of Medicine, Southern California University in Los Angeles, which has a reputable place in its field. Simultaneously, he attended courses and congresses organized by experts of General Surgery operations. After his experience abroad, he continued his profession and academic career in his country.
Bilgi Baca who got his Professorship in Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery, is currently working as a faculty member at Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery and as the Head of the Department of General Surgery at Acıbadem University Altunizade Hospital.
